Accurately and efficiently cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot food products as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking. Also perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates.
Dishwashers hold the responsibility of cleaning all the dishes, glasses, silverware, and cooking supplies for a restaurant. A dishwasher must keep the dish room and dish machine in clean, working order. Dishwashers may be responsible for stocking the establishment with clean supplies for customers, such as napkins and condiments. Other dishwasher job duties may consist of cleaning up around the restaurant and assisting other staff members as needed.
